The story revolves around a typical tale of a bullied teenager who unexpectedly awakens with extraordinary abilities. Set against a backdrop of an underground fighting club reminiscent of ancient Roman arenas, our protagonist encounters relentless bullying from the son of a criminal gang. One fateful day, in self-defense, he accidentally kills the ringleader and gains a cheating skill that allows him to inherit traits and powers from villains and monsters. However, this unique skill ensures he does no harm to innocent people.

As the gangster relentlessly pursues him, corrupt officials and无情的 Awakeners, who view humans as expendable, conspire to turn the boy into a serial killer. Despite the sinister forces arrayed against him, the protagonist's作弊技能 protects those around him, steering him on a path different from the typical revenge narrative. The author has thus far crafted an engaging plot, and the translator is doing an commendable job translating it.

The plot is quite formulaic with the main character (MC) defeating enemies and growing stronger, but the moral dilemma lies in the MC's lack of ethics. One would expect that to possess the power of assimilating villains, there would be a strong sense of justice at play. However, the MC indiscriminately eliminates anyone they encounter, viewing them as good or innocent with no apparent remorse. The MC doesn't appear significantly better than the other characters in the story, who are portrayed as邪恶, suggesting a lack of moral distinction.

It's not terrible, but it lacks depth. The characters come across as unengaging - there's no significant emotional impact, like a meaningful character death or development. They feel one-dimensional and bland.

The main character's arc is particularly disappointing. His "bloodlust"源于生存本能的设定,在短短几句话中就轻易解决,性格转变显得突兀且平淡。他的转变从胆小变得冷酷无情,这种剧情处理方式让人感到别扭且缺乏实质。

Despite these flaws, I've given it a 3 mainly due to the action sequences and the fact that the main character isn't overly annoying. There's potential for improvement if the story delved deeper into character dynamics and complexity.

This novel is highly implausible. A lethal fight club located within a juvenile detention center, in South Korea of all places? And some random child manages to murder everyone through strangulation? It's hard to swallow; I've decided to drop it.

The book is an engaging read for a leisurely time, despite its lack of realism. Most characters can be considered villains, which becomes absurd at times. However, I appreciated the protagonist's journey – an unfortunate individual trapped among criminals who gradually adapts and hardens to survive. The plot combines elements of survival, crime, and a unique blend of modern Korean fantasy.

While the storytelling is intriguing in an unexpected way, character development is a weak point. The supporting characters receive insufficient screen time or are one-dimensional. If you're looking for action rather than character growth, this might be your choice. The constant renaming of abilities, like "Magi" to "Dark Energy" and back, is frustrating.

Overall, it's a decent read for those who don't mind some flaws and enjoy an overpowered main character's journey to strength. I'd rate it 3.5 out of 5, but I'll give it a 4 for the sake of generosity.

It's been a while since I've had such intense dislike for a book that I felt compelled to write a negative review. The title for this one could be:

"Stealing Powers to Conquer a Wasteland: A Villain's Rise from Ruins"

To begin, don't expect much in terms of world-building; the setting is so disastrously portrayed that the inhabitants prioritize gladiatorial spectacles over fixing their own world. What's more, the protagonist's preoccupation with YouTube views in a decimated world feels absurd – acquiring millions of views on a ruined Earth doesn't equate to tangible benefits, let alone address the crisis.

A secondary issue lies in the lack of empathy. Despite the character's difficult past, his complete absence of conscience turns him into something less than human, akin to a beast. The fact that he shows no remorse for a friend's death while still纠结于 their wills is unsettling.

I suspect the author won't rectify the glaring world-building flaws, and instead, the main character will suddenly develop a conscience once he fulfills these last requests. Even then, I'd remain indifferent, as such a shift would feel forced and unsatisfactory.

A really good story. At the begining it has a pokemon feel to it but its solved early.
Also don't read the epiloge chapter it just bad. The author didn't even plan to relese it originally but stuff happened (he explaines it at the end of the epiloge). It a complete and wholesome story without it.

[BEST WAY TO ENJOY THY NOVEL]🔥🔥🔥 just read a few tens of chapters at once, dont read much. Novel is loopy and will make you feel full if you read much. Take it slow. Dont focus on finishing this novel quicky as possible. While i enjoyed this novel i realized after reading reviews that there are some people who felt that novel is ok at the beginging but starts getting boring after a few chapters because of repetiveness, which i get it. Because of the concept, novel is loopy~. And this makes hard for the readers who just blitzkreigts novels. As some reviewers said reading it part by part will make it more enjoyeble. I finished thy like 40-50 days?? And enjoyed it much. I would give this novel somewhere beetwen 7-8 out of 10. If i readed it fast i probably would give it 3 out of 10. Read it slow
